Frequenty Asked Questions
IF YOU CANNOT SWIM YOU MUST WEAR A LIFE JACKET
The 4hr float trip starts with a short bus ride up the river where you and your cooler will meet up with your tube at the river entry point, and you will float back to the Tiki Tubing beach where your car is.
The river is smooth and slow moving and is 1 to 3 feet deep with a few deeper holes from 6 to 8 feet deep. There are sand bars at almost every curve in the river.
All bodies of water have some inherent risks. If you cannot swim you must wear a life jacket. Tiki Tubing, LLC. and its affiliates assume no liability for personal injury or loss of personal property. You will be required to sign a waver for each activity. Minors must have this form signed by a parent or legal guardian. If you have a medical condition you are concerned about, you should consult your physician before your trip.
If you cannot swim you must wear a life jacket, also if you have any fear of the water wear a life jacket. If you do fall out of your tube you should try to get back on as quickly as possible, but many times you will be able to stand up and get back on.
You can also hang on to your tube and paddle over to the shore where it may be easier to get back on your tube.
Our tubes are designed to be extra tough, but in the unfortunate and unlikely event that your tube pops, please don't leave any deflated tubes in the river.
Bring them with you to the Tiki Tubing beach, and you will not be held responsible for damaging it.
The trip times will vary and are influenced by the wind direction and water level. They can take much longer if you stop on the sand bars to enjoy the beauty of the river and it's surroundings.
To begin your trip we take you to an entry point up river and then you float down the river and exit at the Tiki Tubing beach. We have exit signs posted on the beach. You will see our trailers full of returned tubes, and there is always activity on the beach.
Yes. You can bring your own cooler and refreshments. You cannot have any styrofoam or glass of any kind. We rent cooler floats to allow you to float your cooler right along with you on the river, and keep it from turning over. We also rent coolers, sell ice and have a store for sunglasses, lotion etc..
Please leave your pets at home, do not bring any blass or styrofoam containers. Leave your rings, jewelry and other valuables at home also. Waterproof disposable cameras are available in our rivere shop and they take excelent photos. We suggest you not take expensive cameras or phones on the river. If you are tubing we have water proof bags for your cell phone, cigarettes, wallet, pocket book, etc.
You do not have to wear shoes, but shoes would provide more protection for your bare feet. We cannot see what is below the water.
Yes you can, as long as you are of drinking age. Just, please drink responsibly and don't bring any glass or styrofoam containers. This includes styrofoam coolers because they tend to break and now hold up under river useage.
Yes we do sell ice, we also sell many other items you may need like sun tan lotion, water proof bags for your valuables, waterproof cameras, floating sun glass straps and many other items.
The river is a natural environment to many animals. It’s not uncommon to see fish, turtles, frogs and on rare occasions a non-poisonous water snake. We have never had any type of bad interaction with an animal on any of our float trips. Wild animals are very wary and try to avoid humans whenever possible. If you use caution and avoid close contact you will be fine.
During the summertime it is common to have afternoon thunderstorms. The odds of being struck by lightning are very low. No one has ever been struck by lightning while tubing with us, but you should be cautious as it isn’t impossible for it to happen. To limit the possibility of being struck, we recommend several courses of action. First get out of the water and onto the shore. Also look around you. You should not stand near the highest object in the area. Once on land don’t stand next to any large trees. Find some smaller trees or sit in a clearing. The storm will pass. Then you can finish your tubing trip.
Because you’ll have the time of your life. We are easy to get to and have plenty of parking. Our beach is nice and clean and we have state of the art PVC vinyl tubes with handles and even have ones with bottoms if you want. The water is not too deep in most places and travels at a very nice leisurely comfortable relaxing pace. You can bring your own refreshments and have a family picnic right on the water. It’s a great family activity that’s very relaxing and easily enjoyed by the young and old alike.
We accept cash and all major credit cards. We accept Master Card, Visa and American Express. We’re sorry we cannot accept personal checks.
